Guarded | “Don't accuse me of catching feelings, alright. It's insulting.”
It seems like there's not a lot Margo is afraid of but she is definitely afraid of being truly vulnerable with people except for Eliot. She doesn't open up to most of her friends/fellow students, she trusts very few people with her honest emotions (except maybe the negative ones). Falling in love? Forget about it, she doesn't find a love interest in the series until close to the last season, because she doesn't let herself get vulernable with people because then they might see every bit of her and not like the broken, darker parts of her. Because if she's true herself, they might abandon her or hate who she is like her father had come to do. 

Pragmatic/Brutally Honest | "Don’t cock out on me. I would have said pussy, but let’s be honest – which one is stronger?"
Margo is generally kind of an asshole with a penchant for colorful language, speaking straight even when it will definitely hurt feelings, Brutal honesty is her strongest suit even if most people hate it, she doesn't sugar coat things for people especially when things get real. If anything is going wrong, she isn't the type to say it's going to be okay unless she knows that in the end it might be. Ever the pragmatist/realist, she is often the voice of reason for the group, spelling out situations.  Most of the time she sees no need to coddle someone, which can make her come off as cold and not compassionate. But the reality is that while she can be unabashedly blunt but she knows what to say to get others to light a fire under other people.

Impulsive |  Eliot: "We do what we do best." Margo: "Act out with a total lack of empathy and impulse control?"
While she can be forward-thinking, some of the time she's quick to anger and can be impulsive. If someone insults her or pisses her off, her wrath can be huge and she will let the harsh language fly. And when she's desperate and angry, sometimes she doesn't make the smartest decision like when she literally traded Eliot's first born child to save him. 

Confidence | "I'm a king. Not a goddamned princess. A king." 
Margo is confident in her own abilities and self, a place she had to claw and fight to get to. She knows herself, understands her flaws, and likes herself most of the time, anyway. She knows that bad hands she's been dealt in life has forged her into the bad bitch she is today. She also knows she's good at magic, that she can get anything done she puts her mind to. Which is why Margo is the most willing to fight dirty compared to the main gang, she's more willing to offer up bigger sacrifices for the greater good, for Fillory and for her friends.

Which is why she is willing to do the dirty/tougher jobs so others don't have to do it and/or because she knows she has what it takes to get it the fuck done, like volunteering herself to go on a solo quest to get the only weapon to kill the Monster. She isn't a doormat, she's the mother fucking High King. 

Powers and Abilities:

Magician: She is a very gifted magician, she is trained in battle magic and physical magic.
Magic Manipulation: From the wiki: "Hanson is able to shape and manipulate the energy of the Wellspring to cast spells by writing specific formations with her hands, conjuring phosphorescent constructs of energy."
Astral Perception: She has a Fairy eye from Fairy Queen to replace the one that was taken from her. She is able to perceive magic with this eye, see auras and see ghosts/those on the astral plane. She can remove her eye from its socket, allowing her to see through it from another location.
Werewolf: Margo is technically a werewolf, I would, if possible, like to be able to remove/nerf this factor because in canon, it's an STD (which is how she became one very late in the series). It technically hasn't been activated yet because she hasn't killed someone during the full moon.

Nerf suggestions: Obviously I will set up a permissions post to allow people to opt-out of her being able to use powers on. One could argue that her powers are nerfed because this world isn't directly connected to the wellspring ( the source of magic) However, alternate worlds/universes are common in this canon so we could also argue that her magic is simply weakened instead of removed. She can also only perform the magic she knows and a lot of the bigger spells that would be "game-breaking" would require cooperative magic and lots of studying both of which she couldn't do without books or a magical battery or cast mates.

I would be happy to follow the lead on how other Magicians characters who have played here. Let me know.
